Niigata University, as a community-based university, held a presentation titled "Regional Vitalization Case Study with the Collaboration of Niigata University and Local Government", working to further strengthen cooperation with local governments and regional organizations on Friday, November 16 at the Central Library Hall on Ikarashi Campus.
Some case examples of regional vitalization and research results were presented on this day before approximately 100 participants, mainly from the Niigata Prefectural Office and the municipal offices.
The attendees listened earnestly to the case study presentations where Associate Professor Masanobu Nagao of the Graduate School for Management of Technology lectured on the "Identification of regional issues and the development of value making in collaboration with the university" and Associate Professor Toshio Murayama of the Faculty of Education on "Life innovation concept based on healthy society design." The feedback from the visitors included, "The talk was concrete and easy to understand" and "I would like to discuss specific issues." There was a line of questioners for each researcher after the meeting. The presentation proved to be a great success.
Niigata University will continue to work on contributing to society through research and education.
