In light of unprecedented advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are at a transformative threshold in neurotechnology, particularly in Brain-Machine Interfaces (BMI) that connect human cognition with computational systems. The integration of these technologies requires a profound social consensus that incorporates diverse cultural dimensions.
This symposium, focused on neuroethics, convenes distinguished international scholars to explore Asia's potential contributions to global governance frameworks for emerging technologies. By addressing pressing challenges and highlighting Asia's distinctive role on the international stage, we aim to foster sustainable frameworks for cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration.
