Niigata University won seventh place among enterprises with more than 1000 employees in the Forbes JAPAN WOMEN AWARD 2018.
This award commends enterprises that are making their workplaces easy for motivated women to work and also commends women who are pioneering their way. This was the third award, starting in 2016. The leading enterprises where women can work brilliantly or play important roles are selected based on the questionnaires and votes by personnel management officers and executives in Japanese companies as well as working women. Then councilors judge and determine the winning enterprises and individuals.
Prof. Sugata Takahashi, the President and Prof. Yoshiko Kokubo, the Vice President for Diversity, attended the award ceremony held on Thursday, December 20 and received a commemorative shield.
