A group of Niigata University, National Institute for Materials Science, The University of Tokyo, and RIKEN designed and fabricated ultranarrow-band wavelength-selective thermal radiators by coupling electromagnetic calculation and Bayesian optimization, and experimentally demonstrated their top performance. These findings will contribute to develop highly efficient energy-saving devices.
