Niigata University concluded a collaboration and cooperation agreement with the Economic Research Institute for Northeast Asia (ERINA), Public Interest Incorporated Foundation on Monday, April 17 to contribute to academic research and developing local society.
The Graduate School of Modern Society and Culture of Niigata University concluded a collaboration agreement with ERINA in 2010 and we have engaged in offering international student internships. In order to further develop our relationship, we decided to expand the scale and to conclude a collaboration agreement as the whole university.
Under this agreement, Niigata University is planning to promote mutual collaboration and cooperation in fields such as international exchange between northeast Asian regions and Japan coastal areas including Niigata Prefecture, and also develop international education and research in these areas.
At the signing ceremony, President Takahashi stated, "I hope that strengthening collaboration with ERINA will be a great force for forming an international education and research base and contributing to the international community." Representative Director Kawai of ERINA said, "Collaborating with Niigata University that has diverse intellectual resources is expected to further expand ERINA research activities."
Through collaborating with ERINA, we will strengthen our ability and endearor to prepare our students in response to the needs of local communities, in a diversified and complicated global environment, and further contribute to the international community.
