While refraining from going out given the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), CANs, a student organization that received the Student Group Award of the 2019 Alumni Association, held a mosaic art challenge to encourage children nationwide and create a chance for them to have a daily challenge.
This project to be performed by children staying at home was devised and implemented by CANs for children nationwide who had their activities significantly restricted due to staying home and school closure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The project is to have elementary school children tackle a specific challenge and email the photos to CANs that creates mosaic art using only the collected photos.
The following three challenges were presented to children:
As a result, 123 photos were collected from elementary school children across the country, including watercolors depicting the memories of the year and bears made from origami that turned into a wonderful cherry blossom mosaic art.
