The Faculty of Economic Sciences, Niigata University, held the ceremony to put up its plaque at the building for Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences on Wednesday, April 1, Ikarashi Campus.

The Faculty of Economic Sciences cultivates individuals who can solve social problems including regional revitalization from an international viewpoint by getting them to acquire expertise in the field of humanities and social sciences on the base of economics and management.
The Faculty will contribute to local and international communities by cultivating future leaders who will succeed in a wide variety of fields as well as key individuals who will support local communities through ample opportunities to learn with sufficiently experienced working people and international students from different cultures.

At the ceremony, the plaque was unveiled as the start of the new Faculty following the address from the President, Prof. USHIKI Tatsuo and the Dean, Prof. YAMAZAKI Takeshi.

The ceremony took place on a reduced scale to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
