The 2023 Fall Graduation Ceremony was held on Wednesday, September 20 at the Library Hall on Ikarashi Campus. A total of 93 students were awarded degrees: 33 bachelor's degrees, 58 graduate degrees and 2 doctorate degrees by dissertation.
At the ceremony, President USHIKI awarded degrees to the representatives of graduating students receiving bachelor's degrees and graduate degrees. Next followed President USHIKI's graduation address, stating, "Niigata University is your alma mater and your home. Stride ahead with the pride that you have studied at this university. Niigata University will continue to watch over you, wishing your success in your future career. Please always remember the philosophy of Niigata University. Let me close this message by reiterating my hope that you will cherish your bond with the university wherever you are as you play an active role as front-runner of future life innovation. To this aim, please maintain your intellectual curiosity even after your graduation and never forget to keep on learning. I wish you a lot of happiness ahead." The graduates attended the ceremony with a sobering look on their faces in the presence of family members, faculty and staff.
Congratulations on your graduation. We sincerely hope that all of you will spread your wings and continue to excel with confidence and pride into the future society.
