Considering that the government’s stricter COVID-19 measures have been applied to the entire region of Niigata Prefecture, I would like to seek continued cooperation from all NU students, faculty, and staff members to take extra caution on the following, and ask you all to take thorough control measures to prevent further spread of infection.

1. Please continue to make sure to take basic preventive measures such as wearing a mask, disinfecting your fingers and hands, and avoiding the "3 Cs."
2. If you notice any changes in your health condition, such as having a fever and feeling unwell, please refrain from coming to the university or participating in extracurricular activities, and be sure to visit a medical institution as soon as possible.
3. Please avoid crowded places or places with a high risk for infection, and refrain from traveling to and from other prefectures as much as possible.
4. Please refrain from having a gathering with food and drinks as much as possible. When necessary to have a gathering party, please keep in mind that it should be held for the shortest possible time with 4 people or less, and take thorough measures to prevent further spread of the infection. When eating out, please use the restaurants which take thorough preventive measures against COVID-19, and be alert to the increased risk of infection, especially when dining together with your classmates and colleagues, or drinking together in the same room including dormitories and apartment buildings.
5. Please refrain from participating in events with a large number of people as much as possible. When necessary to participate, please take thorough measures to prevent further spread of the infection.
6. If you need to participate in the event with a large number of people, have a social gathering party with food and drinks, or travel out of Niigata Prefecture, please get tested as appropriate at Niigata Vaccine-Test Package Centers or drugstores designated by the prefecture before and after attending the events.
