*61st Niigata University Festival has been over.
Niigata University Festival, called "Shindai-sai" is held in October every year, which is planned and organized by our students. At the festival, student groups offer food and drink booths, live music and dance performance, which attract a lot of people from the community, including parents with children as well as junior and high school students.
With a view to preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19), many universities in Japan have been forced to cancel their university festivals this year. Although Niigata University has also given up an on-campus festival, we will hold an online festival, offering a variety of events, such as comedy shows, celebrity talk shows, and music and dance performance by student groups from Saturday, October 17 to Sunday, October 18. With the use of VR technology, you can enjoy the festival while you simulate an experience of looking around and feeling the atmosphere of the campus.
This VR festival gives a great opportunity to those who live far from Niigata University, making it difficult to come visit, such as those who are interested in studying at Niigata University and have studied at the university, currently living abroad.
Join us to explore our online festival!
