1.Overseas travel
- To respond to crises, such as an incident, accident, terrorism, natural disaster, and infectious disease, the following criteria for overseas travel permission have been formulated based on the overseas travel safety information by country and region ([Travel Advice and Warnings, including those on infectious diseases), issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA). Students and faculty members, who wish to travel overseas must obtain permission to do so in accordance with the criteria.
- MOFA’s Travel Advice and Warnings (Japanese language version) are updated from time to time. Please make sure to check the latest information not only when deciding whether or not to travel, but also before and during your trip.
- For private trips, as well as for study abroad and business trips, please check the overseas travel safety information of your destination and refer to these criteria as a decision-making tool.
●When you travel abroad, please be sure to check in advance relevant websites, campus notices, etc. and complete all the prescribed university procedures.
【Students】
- Students may travel abroad to study or participate in international conferences and academic meetings if they have completed the prescribed procedures.
- Students may travel abroad for personal reasons not related to education or research activities if they have completed the prescribed procedures. They must report to their Faculty’s/Graduate school's Academic Affairs Section by email upon departure and return.

2.Returning from abroad
Upon return to Japan, please comply with the border security measures, if any, set forth by the Japanese government.
